Where did October go?

Apparently I missed the month of October in terms of blogging.  But we did not miss the fun!  So hang on to your britches because this week will be blog-catch-up week!

Papa came to town.

We are really lucky that Papa's work brings him to Austin every couple of months because he and Mimi live in Amarillo, which is quite the drive.  And although there is nothing quite like basking in the warmth and wonder of Mimi-and-Papa's-house, I'm so glad we get to see them for brief weekends.

Often they invite the kids to spend the night with them at their hotel, which is nothing short of childhood bliss.  Didn't you just love hotels when you were a kid?  For me it was always felt like an exotic foray into long hallways, miniature bath stuff and bed jumping awesomeness.

I can hardly imagine how rich my kids hotel memories will be--all saturated in swimming pools, breakfast buffets, in-room Easter egg hunts and total MimiPapa love.

Comments

Hey readers.  I changed the settings on the comments, so it should be easier to share your thoughts if you have any thoughts you care to share.  Ha, tongue-twister.

Thanks for visiting and keeping tabs on us Vaclavs!

Cutest Little White Kids Ever!

For today's dose of heart melting kid sweetness go here.  My chitlins appear on the Mama Storms blog which in my opinion deserves an award for Most Witty Writing That Makes Me Chuckle Every Time and Coolest Kid Art Projects That Are Actually Cool.

Just read a few posts and you'll see exactly what I mean.  You'll fall in love with their little Ruby and Jesse instantly.  You've been warned.

Ruby and Jesse's parents happen to be amazing artists and musicians.  If you would like to say Amen! to that and support this gem of a family you can do so here.

Totally forgot!

I used to have two other blogs.  I seriously forgot about them, which is simultaneously hilarious and frightening.

Did you know that Dandelion means "tooth of the lion" and that they are native to North America and Eurasia?  The entire plant is edible and can now be found on every continent.  And though they are often considered weeds, the taproot of the dandelion helps improve the quality of soil for shallow rooting plants.  How nice.

Those little factoids made me feel much better about using my ubiquitous blogger template.
