Treasure Falls & Soggy Camping

This is Treasure Falls, which apparently is much more spectacular in non-summer seasons.  It was lovely nonetheless.

We hiked about a quarter mile up a mountain to get here.  As we were trudging along, not taking any short cuts, Austin coined our family slogan: We never give up.  It goes perfect with our family superhero identity: V-Force.  Also named by Austin.

Ok, I'll admit this shot is more of a this-is-what-you-do-up-here pose than a true glory moment, but oh well.  It was still cool.

Wonder who this could be?

Wet camping is about ten times more work.  My amazing husband exhibits utmost fortitude in the rain.

The rest of us...not so much.

Except maybe for Austin who heartily aided Michael in digging trenches around our tent and tables.

V-Force shoes washed and ready to be packed up for their next adventure....
